For 1600 years, the Catholic and Protestant Christian churches have taught and assembled on Sunday, the first day of the week, to offer praise and worship to God. For centuries,Christianity has interpreted Revelation 1:10 “the Lord’s day” to mean Sunday, the first day of the week. However, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, the Creator of heaven and earth, established the seventh day of the week as the day of rest during Creation; later in the 10 Commandments, He affirmed the seventh day to be the day of rest for His people.
