What does the Bible actually say about generational curses? The concept of generational curses—sins or consequences passed down through family lines—is often linked to Exodus 20:5, where YeHoVaH speaks of visiting the iniquity of the fathers to the third and fourth generations. However, Scripture also clarifies that each person is accountable for their own sin (Ezekiel 18:20). While some ministries focus heavily on deliverance from these so-called curses, the Torah emphasizes obedience, repentance, and relationship with YeHoVaH over inherited guilt. True freedom comes through understanding and applying what the Law actually teaches.
