The introduction of the New Covenant and the change in Law establishing a new Priesthood and High Priest from the tribe of Judah required a major change in the mindset of the Hebrews and their approach to obtaining the promises of YeHoVaH by faith. Acceptance of the changes demanded adjustments and steadfast faith as demonstrated by the faith of those in Chapter 11. The necessary adjustments and changes necessitated correcting past practices personally or being chastened by YeHoVaH. Either way, it was important for the corrections to be made in individuals’ lives in order to serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.

Why is correction important for Believers under the New Covenant? Correction is essential under the New Covenant because it aligns Believers with the changes introduced through the new Priesthood and High Priest from the tribe of Judah. As Hebrews explains, accepting these changes requires a renewed mindset, faith, and often personal correction or divine chastening. YeHoVaH uses correction to refine His people, helping them live in obedience, pursue His promises by faith, and serve Him with reverence and godly fear.
