Faith in God in its simplest form is believing what YeHoVaH says. The Patriarchs Abraham, Isaac, and Israel demonstrated faith in YeHoVaH by obeying YeHoVaH when He spoke to them. The testing of our faith proves to us if we believe YeHoVaH. Israel’s faith was tested on several occasions to show them what was in their hearts.

In this portion of Numbers 13, Israel’s faith is tested by God and their response to the test sets the course of their lives for the next forty years.
