In Exodus, YeHoVaH identified Israel as His Armies long before they were delivered from their bondage in Egypt. YeHoVaH established Israel as a nation in Exodus, gave Israel Laws to govern themselves as a people at Mount Sinai, and established His presence amongst them in Leviticus. In Numbers, YeHoVaH begins to train Israel for battle to take them into the Land of Promise.

In this portion of the Book of the Law, YeHoVaH begins the process of preparing Israel as a military force to be reckoned with. This reveals a title of YeHoVaH which is identified in Moses’ Song.
