Listen to the Teaching: Feast of Firstfruits

In this Teaching, you will learn about the Firstfruits Offerings, when they are to be presented, and why Firstfruits Offerings are so important! You will also learn the Prayer that is recited during this vital Offering which assures the Blessing of Prosperity upon those who present their Firstfruits timely and joyfully unto YeHoVaH.

But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully (2 Corinthians 9:6).

What is the Feast of Firstfruits?

  • Firstfruits are a commanded Offering
  • The amount is determined by the giver.
  • Everyone is to bring an Offering in proportion to how YeHoVaH has blessed them.
  • We are to give generously in faith according to what we are believing YeHoVaH to provide for us over the coming year.
  • A specific Prayer (Deuteronomy 26:5-10) is recited during the giving of
  • Giving of Firstfruits is an Act of Faith and Obedience that ensures the Blessings of YeHoVaH!
  • YeHoVaH commanded that during the Feasts, no one was to appear before Him empty-handed.

When is the Feast of Firstfruits?

  • Firstfruits Offerings are given at the three Pilgrimage Feasts.
  • A Pilgrimage Feast is a Feast where all Israelites (including all grafted in by faith in Yeshua Messiah) must appear before YeHoVaH, our Elohim, at the place He will choose.
  • The three Pilgrimage Feasts are the:
  • Feast of Unleavened Bread (March/April on the Gregorian Calendar)
  • Feast of Weeks/Pentecost (May/June on the Gregorian Calendar)
  • Feast of Tabernacles (September/October on the Gregorian Calendar)

Who should give a Firstfruits Offering?

  • All of Israel and those who join themselves to Israel should give a Firstfruits Offering.
  • The Body of Messiah

Why should we give a Firstfruits Offering?

What is the Prayer to be recited when presenting the Firstfruits Offering?

    • Deuteronomy 26:1-11 contain Instructions and a Prayer you may recite when presenting your Firstfruits offering to YeHoVaH. We recommend that you read and/or recite the entire Chapter of Deuteronomy 26 and reflect upon its words and true meaning.

     

    Deuteronomy 26:5-10

    And thou shalt speak and say before the Lord thy God, A Syrian ready to perish was my father, and he went down into Egypt, and sojourned there with a few, and became there a nation, great, mighty, and populous:

    And the Egyptians evil entreated us, and afflicted us, and laid upon us hard bondage:

    And when we cried unto the Lord God of our fathers, the Lord heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labour, and our oppression:
