Stealing from God – Joshua 7:1-26

Strict Instructions were given to Joshua to give to the Israelites for their own protection. The strategy to take Jericho, and afterwards the remains of Jericho, labelled the city as an accursed city and the contents of the city to be accursed. YeHoVaH had informed the people through Joshua that they were to destroy all that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, and ox, and sheep, and ass, with the edge of the sword and that all the silver, gold, vessels of brass and iron, were consecrated unto Him and were to be put into His storehouse. One man decided to steal from YeHoVaH and caused a curse to come upon all of Israel.
