The Tenth Chapter of Hebrews closes with these words:
“Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.” Hebrews 10:38-39
After informing the recipients of how the just shall live by faith, the writer continues by giving a long list of Old Testament character examples of many followers of YeHoVaH who had demonstrated a lifestyle of living by faith under severe persecutions. The writer presents the examples in the context that informs the reader that there is a cost to pay to live by faith where sometimes the Saint expired before seeing the manifestation of the promises by which they would live by faith to see manifested.

What examples does Hebrews give of living by faith, and why are they important?
