Revelation Chapters 4 and 5 initiate the introduction to Chapters 6–20. The symbolism in these two chapters takes the reader and hearers' imagination on a colorful visual journey that appears so bizarre that the reader and the  hearers must resist the temptation to become overly enamored with the details. The revelator reveals Yeshua the Messiah as both the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David and a Lamb as it had been slain, standing in the midst of the throne of God, bearing the marks of death, yet alive surrounded by a spectacle of supernatural participants. The Lion and the Lamb are not two different figures, but two revelations of the same Messiah. These 2 chapters call the reader to recognize that the unfolding judgments in Revelation are not random acts of destruction, but the righteous execution of a scroll opened by the only One worthy – Yeshua the Messiah – The Lion and Lamb of God.
