There are different authors of laws in the Bible. Do you know the difference between them? Do you know which one you are being held responsible for obeying? Find out now!

What is the Law of Moses?

  • It is incorrectly referred to as the Law of Moses. It is the Law of God (YeHoVaH).

  • God gave the Law to Moses.  Moses’ writings of God’s Law are the first five books of the Bible and are called the Torah.

  • Exodus 13:9
  • Exodus 20:1, 18-22
  • Leviticus 1:1 …
  • Numbers 1:1 …
  • Deuteronomy 4:1-2

What is God’s (YeHoVaH’s) Law?

  • YeHoVaH’s Laws are given by YeHoVaH and written in the Bible.

  • They are the first five Books of the Bible and are called the Torah.

  • Exodus 13:9
  • Exodus 20:1, 18-22
  • Leviticus 1:1 …
  • Numbers 1:1 …
  • Deuteronomy 4:1-2
  • Matthew 5:18
  • Romans 7:12
  • Hebrews 10:16

What is sin?

  • Sin is a transgression of YeHoVaH’s law given by YeHoVaH and written in the Bible.

  • Transgression is iniquity.
  • 1 John 3:4
  • Matthew 7:23
  • Matthew 13:41
  • Matthew 23:28
  • Matthew 24:12
  • John 7:49

What are Pharisee laws?

  • Pharisee laws were given by the Pharisees and are contained in their writings, such as the Talmud.

  • The various Pharisee groups had differing philosophies, rules, and regulations akin to differences among denominations.

  • Mark 7:7-9
  • John 19:7
  • Acts 5:34

What is the Oral Law?

  • These laws were passed down through generations and then written down in the Talmud.

  • Mark 7:7-9

What are Sadducee laws?

  • Sadducee laws, rules, and regulations were given by the Sadducees and are contained in their writings

  • Mark 7:7-9
  • John 19:7
  • Acts 6:13

What are Religious laws?

  • These laws are made up by denominations of men and are contained in their writings.

  • Mark 7:7-9

What are manmade civil laws?

  • These are laws given by the county, city, state, and federal legislative branches of governments.

  • They are executed by the judicial branches of government.

  • They are enforced by law enforcers.

  • It is not a sin to violate manmade laws.

  • Judges do not send people to jail because they commit a sin, judges send people to jail because they commit a crime, a violation of man’s laws.

Have you been told the Law has been "done away with”?  Do you believe that the Law of the Old Testament no longer applies today? What is the New Covenant?  Who was the New Covenant made with?

In this thought-provoking and eye-opening teaching, Arthur Bailey clears up long-held misconceptions and elaborates on the definitions of “covenant” and “testament”. He also examines how to have a proper relationship with YeHoVaH, our Elohim (God).

The Almighty spoke; Moses wrote.

Keeping Torah is not sin or denying the atoning work of Messiah.

The work of Messiah was finished, but our work begins when we come into faith in Messiah.

The only way you will be able to diffuse the nonsensical arguments is that you know what the Scripture actual says.

Sin is a transgression of YeHoVaH’s Law given by YeHoVaH and written in the Bible.

When you have a belief that “THIS is how” something is going to happen, it is a challenge to get you to believe otherwise.

Be grateful even when we may not get what we asked YeHoVaH for.  Be thankful in ALL things!

Until next time… Blessings to You and Yours,

Sharon
