Shalom Saints,
“Watch me! No hands!” This was 9 year-old Floyd on a bicycle zooming down Spokane Street in Detroit maneuvering “with no hands” around children playing, roller skating, pulling wagons and doing all the other fun no-tech stuff we did in the fifties. By the time Floyd was 12, he was the neighborhood champ of “no-hands” bike riding. His confidence had grown to the extent that he readily took on a celebrity neighbor as a pupil. She was in her late teens, but already singing with the Supremes, Florence Ballard!
“I did it! I did it!” Floyd reared back in his chair as relief flooded through his body. His Captain walked over, patted him on the back and said, “Good job, Campbell!” This was all happening at the Army Nike Missile site in Painesville, Ohio in 1970-71. Floyd had perfectly completed a simulated drill, on his radar screen, of a nuclear attack. Floyd was ecstatic that his mind-eye-hand coordination was able to move quickly enough to shoot down 18 simultaneously incoming enemy missiles. This accomplishment moved Floyd from nagging self-doubts into a higher level of confidence in his ability to recognize friends from foes. Even when he missed 1 or 2 enemy missiles in subsequent drills, he was able to hold on to the fact that he had done it in the past and he could do it again.
“I did it! I did it!” This was me now. I had just finished giving a summary report to 6 or 7 Officers, who were in full-dress, at the Pentagon in Washington, DC in 1976. I was an Associate at American Institutes of Research in Pittsburgh; we were contracted to conduct a study of military health facilities. Earlier that day, by the time I got through the security and maze in the Pentagon, my knees were knocking under the table as I waited to be introduced. For the first 30 seconds of my presentation, my nerves were in a bundle, but then I did what I had told myself to do in this situation: remember that I knew the facts of the study, breathe normally, slow down my talking, and keep eye contact with the officers. Well, my confidence returned and I had the Officers and myself relaxed and jovial by the time I finished.
The point of these examples is that when you recognize who you are and what you can do, there is a door that opens in your mind that allows you to seek what seemed impossible before. This is the same thing that happens in the spiritual world. When we truly recognize who we are in the Kingdom, we can DREAM BIG and rely on our Father who is the creator and Giver of all.
I hear Arthur’s heart when he pleads with us to recognize that we are the sons of God and our FIRST citizenship is in the Kingdom of Elohim. Without understanding this, we are tied to whatever we have chosen, or allowed, to anchor us to this natural world. This is critical to understand!
Listen as Arthur talks about how Yehovah is leading him and how the Almighty is doing something extremely unique among those whom He has called.
Summary of the Teaching
Arthur was on fire tonight! I am amazed at how the Holy Spirit can spark us with energy and vitality over and over again without the Holy Spirit running out of power or we becoming over-charged and can’t be recharged! The energy of the Holy Spirit was contagious to those who chose to enter in and pay close attention.
As we approached the launching pad, Arthur told us to leave all unnecessary baggage behind because we are on the cusp of something HUGE. In order to conform to the likeness of Messiah, we have to empty ourselves of false teachings, man-made traditions, non-productive emotions, ties to the world, and other things that drag us down. As Arthur said, this is a message we need to intellectually comprehend and supernaturally receive.
We enter the rocket and buckle-up. Our rocket takes off right after reciting the Declaration. As we are exiting the earth’s atmosphere, David and Libbie sing “Victory is Ours!”
During our Orbit, Arthur covered the following:
- We are pilgrims in a foreign land. The moment we forget that our first citizenship is in Elohim’s Kingdom, we become susceptible to allegiances to other nations, causes, and people.
- The people of Yehovah want to be where Yehovah is. We only drag our feet and look back because we are connected to something other than Yehovah and Yehovah’s people.
- Lust of the eyes and lust of the flesh is not of the Father and they are the cause of many people falling off the journey.
- Yehovah is calling INDIVIDUALS to make them a Kingdom nation.
- Our children do not belong to us; they are the children of Elohim. We must raise them to fear Elohim so that when they leave us, or we leave them, they will continue in the real purpose of life:
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 King James Version 13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. 14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
Our rocket re-enters the atmosphere and Arthur has a perfect landing by ending with the riddle, “Are women the sons of God?”
Buzz on the Teaching
After the teaching, I made a quick dash to my office before returning to talk with two Sister Saints visiting from Maryland. In the office corridor, I met David Salinas rounding the corner, “Hey Sis! That was some teaching tonight!”
“David, it definitely was. I felt like we were moving to a higher spiritual level.”
David’s eyes lit up, “It was transforming! Earlier, I was standing in the back of the room and I felt a great Shalom! As I looked up the long aisle towards the front, it was like we were in a spiritual cocoon, a sort of womb, getting ready to enter the birth canal! Things are changing!”
Yehovah is calling each of us to be “born again,” to be renewed in our minds and to operate in our calling as Ambassadors of the Most High.
Romans 12:2 King James Version
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Until next time… Blessings to You and Yours,
Sharon
