The Promise and the Promises (Pentecost 2018) Teaching Review

arthur bailey pentecost 2018

Shalom Saints,

Arthur grabbed our attention when he said there are promises made by the Almighty just for us!  Can you fathom the depth of that statement?  The Creator of the Universe, the Maker of all that we know, has made you and me a promise!  The Almighty and Holy One, who does not lie, has made us a promise.

This Day of Pentecost/Feast of Weeks message unfolded according to the outline below.

  • Discussing a Promise YeHoVaH made to us.
  • Revealing The Promise He made
  • Discussing and define the promises that accompany The Promise
  • Presenting a couple of examples from Scripture of these promises manifesting
  • Concluding with the giving of Firstfruits and 3rd Tithes

At the end of the service, we corporately recited the prayers for the commanded offering and tithes.  These gifts are associated with blessings from our Most High Elohim.

It is not too late to give your Firstfruits Offering!

Arthur started the teaching by explaining that Father planned in the wilderness what would happen at the 1st Century Pentecost.  The instructions given in the Torah for “all” to be present at the pilgrimage Feasts set the backdrop for being present to be baptized with the Holy Spirit.  Arthur did bring up an interesting fact:  10 of Yeshua’s disciples received the Holy Spirit before Pentecost when Yeshua breathed on them the day after He resurrected when they were together in a locked room.

What is The Promise that Arthur was dangling before us?  What was The Promise that he said was extended to ALL who would be called by the Father?   If no one was left out of the promise, you and I are included!  Joel expounded on The Promise and the promises that would accompany

Joel 2:28-29 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:  29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit. (KJV)

The Promise:  The Holy Spirit would be given to all YeHoVaH calls

The promises that would accompany The Promise:  Prophesying, dreams, visions, and YeHoVaH would speak to and show His people things.

Arthur explained prophecy in a nutshell: hearing the Father’s voice and speaking it.  Scripture refers to the sons and daughters of the Almighty as sheep and His sheep hear His voice.  Arthur spent the next segment of the Teaching giving examples of individuals, Hebrew and non-Hebrew, who heard the voice of YeHoVaH.

Arthur prayed a prayer to receive the Holy Spirit.  This was the pentacle of the Pentecost service.  Arthur invited all who wanted to receive the Holy Spirt, and those who wanted to be filled afresh, to stand and receive the blessings going forth.

Please pray along with Arthur and receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit.  YeHoVaH desires that we receive His Spirit so that we can walk in all power and authority as Yeshua Messiah did.  Remember, as Arthur said, People can receive your gospel, if you show them your power.

Sharon’s Reflections on the Teaching

I whole-heartily agreed with Arthur when he said, “How dare someone tell us that the Holy Spirit is not operating today like He operated in the 1st Century!”  I am an eyewitness of the power of the Holy Spirit because I have received and witnessed healings in the 20th Century and in the 21st Century.

In service, Arthur prayed for my Sister Saint from Texas to be healed from pain in her left hip while another Sister Saint and I anointed and laid hands on her.  That pain responded to the power and authority we had over all the works of the devil and that pain vanished!  Several other Saints were healed too.

Later, as I was standing waiting to begin to collect donations for the Firstfruits and 3rd Tithes, a pain began to shoot down my left hip into my leg. I was puzzled and thought, “Is this a sympathy pain related to my Sister Saint from Texas?” I shuffled my feet around and changed positions a few times with no relief. I became indignant that this pain would attack me.  Then I immediately told it to GO in the name of Yeshua Messiah.  It vanished!  I praised YeHoVaH for pain relief, but even more for loving me and giving me power and authority as my Brother and Savior Yeshua has.

Matthew 28:18  And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.  (KJV)

John 14:12  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.  (KJV)

Buzz on the Teaching

There was a sweet spirit hovering over our midst on the Day of Pentecost.  At one point as I sat at the fellowship table, I just observed my Sisters and Brothers interacting with each other.  I saw intense listening as another Saint shared.  I saw one Sister Saint mournfully cry while another Saint listened, comforted her, and then they embraced and continued their conversation.

I felt I was in a place where we could be free to expose our trials and tribulations and also feel the safety of the body that understands and is willing to encourage and instruct us.  I witnessed correction going forth and correction being humbly received.

I spoke with a Brother Saint that went through many hard trials and attacks from the enemy during his life and was able to reflect on it without bitterness towards his offenders.  He esteemed the Father and Messiah for carrying him through many physical and spiritual hardships.  I admired his character, his sense of humor, and his strong faith that carried him through many a dark and perilous night.

I was able to reconnect with a Sister Saint that I hadn’t seen since Passover.  We embraced and sat for a while just catching up and enjoying being in the presence of each other.  She said to me that the deeper she gets into the word and the more clarity she receives, she realizes that more people are leaving out of her life.  I could definitely relate to that.  In fact, I often hear that recurring theme.  Father calls us to be set-apart and when we follow His Law, we set ourselves apart.  Our friends, relatives, and acquaintances that don’t choose this righteous road, they by default separate themselves from us.  This is why the Saints are my family and are so precious to me.

Until next time… Blessings to You and Yours,

Sharon
