Shalom Saints,

This Teaching was spiritually intense.  Our anticipation was fueled when Arthur announced that he prayed an extra prayer this morning, “Father, help me to do justice to the message that has been given to me!”  This Teaching was for the Saints facing difficulties, having to make decisions, and not knowing what decisions to make.  I could hear agreement in the midst of the congregation when he also said that we are living in challenging times.

These challenging times test one’s ability to maintain a strong faith walk.  Arthur’s title, Prayer and Praise in Faith Produces Power, was an accurate description of this electrifying message of hope. Arthur assured us that we, as believers, have the ability to walk out our calling in Messiah in spite of others trying to prevent us from winning our spiritual battles. The battles will certainly come.  Those battles affect our present situations and our futures.  In the vicissitudes of life, we are either being inspired by the Almighty or we are being influenced by something else.  Either we are equipping ourselves with the Word of Elohim or we are equipping ourselves with something else.

In Acts 16, Paul and Silas had to face a terrible tribulation when Paul cast the demonic spirit out of a woman. That expulsion resulted in Paul and Silas being beaten and put in jail with their feet in stocks.  Arthur expounded on their encounter with the demonic spirit and shared:

  • The spirit world is very active whether you are active spiritually or not.
  • Demonic spirits will try to get you to accept their existence.
  • Demonic spirts can speak the truth, but that does not make it a spirit of truth.
  • People can tap into the spirit realm by going in the wrong way (witchcraft, spiritualism, etc.).  The only true way is through the Almighty and Messiah.

We must realize that there are tribulations we have to go through to live the life of a Saint.  Tribulations are part of the journey to take the True Gospel of the Kingdom to the ends of the earth.  Throughout this Teaching, Arthur made some memorable statements.  Here are a few of them that are essential keys to travelling the narrow road of keeping Elohim’s Commandments and having faith in Yeshua Messiah.

  • Take your eyes off the circumstances and conditions and put your eyes on the Savior.
  • Don’t be fooled by political rhetoric; the only savior is Yeshua!
  • We have to discern rightfully and righteously the body of Messiah.  It is the Messiah in you that I always have to be mindful of regardless of how you may be behaving.
  • You can walk with people, but you can’t walk for them.
  • Sometimes you have to PRAISE your way through a storm!
  • Don’t let what you are going through steal your PRAISE, don’t let it steal your JOY!
  • The Joy of YeHoVaH is your strength.  When you let your joy go, you won’t see YeHoVaH with you.
  • What you are going through is not what really matters; it is how you go through it!
  • We have to learn to PRAISE HIM when we don’t feel like it!
  • Supernatural things still happen today.

Praise Your Way Through the Storm!

Sharon’s Reflections on the Teaching

When Arthur said that fear is taught and people pass on fear to others, I had various scenarios rush through my mind.  I don’t swim, and my children don’t want to learn because of a fear of dunking their heads under water.  Even though my husband and I had them in infant swim classes, that they enjoyed, when they got older, there was still the anxiety of going under water.  I really wanted them to learn to swim.  I even took a class with them!  Neither of the three of us learned to swim!

I then thought about the deathly fear that Floyd’s mother had of dogs and cats.  It was especially evident with dogs.  Floyd said that his mother passed that trepidation to his sister, Judy.  This was somewhat of a challenge because Floyd and I had a myriad of outdoor cats when we lived on three different small-scale farms in Michigan.  His mother and sister had to be protectively ushered into the house and they generally stayed inside.   Over time, his mother and sister became cautiously tolerate of the cats because my young children liked to play outside and Grandma and Auntie wanted to be in the rollicking fun with them.

We have to be ever so careful that we don’t allow spirits to attach to us and we become conduits for those spirits to have influence over others.

2 Timothy 1:7
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Isaiah 41:10
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Buzz from the Fellowship

The Q & A Session was therapeutic!   There were testimonies of deliverances from the devastations of child sexual abuse and of pornography.  The long term effects of childhood sexual abuse was discussed.  It was also explained that pornography was a form of abuse and a mental state that suspends reality that affects the person as well as their spouse.  The vulnerability of the Saints to share these testimonies was remarkable.  They was feedback within the room and online about how glad the Saints were that these issues were raised. Based on the moving of the Holy Spirit, Arthur talked about being offended and offending.  Then he offered a moving prayer for those who have been abused, been abusers, and people embroiled in pornography.  This is definitely a Q & A Session to watch.

I had the pleasure of speaking with a family whose son, 23 years of age, will soon be marrying a woman through an arranged marriage.  Over 10 years ago, the family had expressed their interest in finding a woman from their “home land” of Africa for their teenaged son.  Through the years, a friend had been looking for them.  Finally, the bride was found.  She belongs to a tribe that the old customs are still in effect.  There will be a presentation of a dowry in Africa to the elders and the bride’s family.  Then the wedding will take place in America.  I look forward to meeting this young couple who will walk in the Hebrew Roots of Messiah.

Until next time… Blessings to You and Yours,

Sharon
