Shalom Saints,

This is the second part of the dynamic message on prayer, Arthur explains three more types of Prayer: Prayer of Binding and Loosing, Prayer of Agreement and Warfare Prayer. As a preamble, Arthur reminds us that we may have times when we don’t know how or what to pray. But be comforted, because Apostle Paul wrote to us that,

Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. (KJV)

Prayer of Binding and Loosing

The underlying principle of this type of prayer is knowing who we are in the Kingdom of Heaven. Through Yeshua, we have been given the authority over all works of darkness. We operate on a higher authority than worldly kingdoms. This is a powerful type of prayer because we can access things in the spirit realm and make them happen in the earthly realm.

Binding and loosing deal with spiritual issues. They refer to things that you decree to not allow or to allow. We have the keys to unlock the doors in the Kingdom of Heaven and operate in the power and authority of Yeshua on earth.

Arthur tells us that one way people can bind your spirit is to teach you their doctrine and subjugate you to their will. As an example, Arthur describes the illogical reasoning that Christianity uses to support Sunday worship.

Prayer of Agreement

This prayer refers to two or more people coming into agreement for a specific prayer. Arthur drilled into us that we must always know what we are coming into agreement with. We need to ask questions if we are unsure of what the prayer request entails. It is necessary to do our due diligence in this area so that we are not unknowingly praying in agreement with something that is opposed to Yehovah’s will.

Even when we think we understand each other, there could be cultural and language differences. The same word can have different connotations to different people across generations, neighborhoods, etc. Listen to this short message within the message as Arthur talks about how the disciples, who asked questions concerning the parables that Yeshua spoke, were the only ones that received an understanding.

Warfare Prayer

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (KJV)

If we do not walk in our authority, it will be usurped! The devil wants us to operate in fear instead of in the power we have been given. The enemy will try to trick us into thinking that we have to fight him. If we believe this, we have already been seduced. Remember, we have authority over ALL the works of darkness.

Do not succumb to the devil’s plan by operating according to your emotions and feelings. That will only lead to confusion! The battleground of warfare is in your head! Get your thoughts together. Thoughts will cause you to disobey and operate on the carnal level when we must always be aware that we are spiritual beings and fight on the spiritual level.

2 Corinthians 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; (KJV)

Listen as Arthur elaborates on the fact that if we are not connected to the spiritual realm, the keys to the Heavenly Kingdom are useless in our hands. He also explains how important it is to know those who labor among us.

The devil is always trying to cast doubt on who we are. If you don’t know who you are in the Heavenly Kingdom, the devil will give you an identity in his kingdom!

Sharon’s Reflections on the Teaching

In my Christian days… (Wow! I’m thinking it is wonderful to have a past!) … unspoken requests were normal. Actually, they were sort of a unique prayer because the person had a “secret” that very few knew what it was. The unspoken prayer requestor was seen as special.

The “special” could be taken in many ways. If the person had a lifestyle where something was always going wrong, they would be pitied and perhaps gossiped about in speculation over “What is the trouble this time?” If the person led a somewhat prosperous life, there would be speculation about what they could be holding back from us.

Now, I know all this sounds petty. It was! And yet we would all bow our heads and pray for only God knows what!

I do remember a tele-evangelist warning his congregation not to submit unspoken requests to him. He gave an example of someone having kidney issues and they just asked him to pray with no other specifications. He said that for all he knew the requestor could be praying for a kidney transplant and he, the pastor, was praying for God to miraculously heal the kidneys.

We are Ambassadors of the Most High Elohim. Let us use our power and authority wisely and always be in agreement with the KING!

Buzz on the Teaching

I am always in awe at how the Holy Spirit is not limited by time or space. This Shabbat I attended service with the HOI- London congregation. The thrust of Marcus Da Costa’s message was about knowing which Kingdom we belong to, whom we serve, as well as walking in the power and authority given to us as Ambassadors of the Heavenly Kingdom.

Later, when I listened to Arthur’s message, he expounded on how we are not bound by the worldly Kingdom’s principals. He said we have the power and authority to access things in the spiritual realm and we should expect them to manifest in the earthly realm.

Marcus and Arthur were both saying we must recognize that all power in heaven and on earth was given to Yeshua. AND Yeshua is sending us forth to use the same power to do the works that He did and more!)

I received a warm welcome from the HOI-London congregation. I greeted all of them with holy hugs and they reciprocated. We were all interested in finding out where our homelands were. I met individuals from Cameroon, Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Brazil, the Caribbean, and of course from London. This international mixture mirrored what I saw on the streets of London, in the shops and in my hotel. I realized, I was observing a random mixture of the descendants of Noah.

A couple of Saints and I chuckled when we compared the length of time the services last between London (1.5 – 2 hours) and Charlotte (3-5 hours). One Saint said, “It was an hour and a half into the broadcast and Arthur hadn’t even started the teaching!” Another Brother Saint smiled and said, “Yeah, Arthur has messages before the message!” We all laughed and I said, “In Charlotte, we come for the Sabbath day and enjoy the way Arthur elaborates on the points he makes. We have a group at HOI that will usually stay and fellowship until sundown.”

This particular Sabbath, I was blessed to be part of the HOI-London monthly prayer meeting. My dear Sister Saint Juliet is a teacher at HOI-London. She is also a Discipleship and Leadership Graduate. Juliet led us through Praises to Yehovah and invited the presence of His Spirit into our midst. Then we entered a time of prayer for the ministry leaders, intercessory prayers and personal petitions. We ministered to each other through anointing with oils, songs, comforting words, sharing praise reports and miracles of Yehovah.

After about 2.5 hours of Saints praising and praying, Marcus closed the meeting with a final prayer. Then he instructed all of us to let our petitions stay with the Father and leave HOI different than when we came.

Earlier during the Sabbath service, Marcus called for those needing healing. I stood along with several Saints; three of us had issues with our feet. The swelling started on the flight to London on Monday night. Juliet laid hands on my feet. That evening I asked Yehovah for a word of knowledge about what was happening to my feet. The Father told me “again” that I wasn’t drinking enough water. Well, I started loading up on water. Sure enough, by morning the swelling had reduced by 90-95% on both feet.

Prayer and Obedience works! Halleluyah!!

Until next time… Blessings to You and Yours,

Sharon
