Arthur boosted our self-confidence today by telling us that our capacity to do what Yeshua did, far exceeds our ability to comprehend this fact.  Our natural mind cannot comprehend the things of YeHoVah, which is why we need to take on the mind of Yeshua.  It is so important that we do not limit ourselves to our human or natural capabilities or allow others to put their limitations on us.  This occurs when we follow persons who are limited in their ability to comprehend the vastness of the spiritual gifts we can walk in.  For example, listening to persons who believe that healings were done away with after Yeshua’s Apostles.

Because we are surrounded by a world that insists on keeping their eyes and ears focused on the natural world, we must constantly be in pray for the Father to give us eyes to see and ears to hear in the supernatural realm.  Arthur threw down the gauntlet when he confessed that “Either we can do what He said we can do or we can’t!  Let YeHoVaH be true and every man a liar.”

When Arthur transitioned to the main Teaching, he explained that the prophets in Acts 15 were sent by the leadership in Jerusalem to other assemblies with a specific mandate to say by mouth what had been written.  The prophets, Judas and Silas, were under orders and given what to speak by the apostles, elders, and brethren (which included the prophets among them.)

The main core of the Message focused on the following points.

  • The prophets played a major role in the advancing of the Kingdom of YeHoVaH
  • The prophets of old were sent by YeHoVaH to His people
  • YeHoVaH also tested the people by prophets who were false

Arthur said, “You have to judge every last one of them!”

Deuteronomy 13:1-3 King James Version (KJV)
13 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the Lord your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
  • The prophets of the New Testament were given by Yeshua

Joel 2:28
28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

  • The New Testament Prophets’ words were judged by other prophets and the people.

Sharon’s Reflections on the Teaching

I used to prescribe to the belief that there was safety in the majority.  I believed God wouldn’t send the majority of the people on earth to the Lake of Fire.  The Church was the majority for me.  I know people NOW that believe they are safe because they side with the majority against the believers of the true gospel.  I remind myself that there were only 8 on the ark!  The majority went for a terminal swim.  Father always has a remnant, but the remnant can be small.  Remember, He was ready to wipe out all of the rebellious Israelites and start over with only Moses!

The Kingdom does not operate on a democratic system.  Father, the Creator, gave the Laws and that is that!  We have to measure up to His standards not the standards set by society, our family, our denomination, our peers, not even our Apostle.  Arthur was transparent enough to tell us that we need to follow Messiah, not Arthur.  On Judgement day, each of us will be standing alone.  No character references or corroborating witnesses will be allowed.  As Arthur said, “My life is no excuse for your life.”  We all have to live according to the Book by which we will be judged.

I like Arthur’s sugar-free, no nonsense, a little bit rough, and brass tacks attitude towards giving advice, especially when we are making decisions that will determine our eternal destination.  He said to stop observing everyone else; look at yourself; see where your faith falls short and WORK ON IT.  I am totally in agreement.    As Arthur said, “You can talk about Pressing or you can Press”.

Buzz from the Fellowship

We had two sets of visitors that had found the ministry through Google and showed up today.  I ate my meal with a young married couple from the area who were expecting a child at any moment.  She was past her due date!  They enjoyed the message and had much to say about the delicious foods and desserts.  They asked if the Teachings were online; that was the perfect invitation for me to familiarize them with the resources on our Website.

I then spent some time with a mother and daughter who were visiting for the first time and had never heard Arthur teach.  We had an instant camaraderie when we discovered that we all shared a Seventh-day Adventist background.  We delighted in the fact that our eyes were opened to the truth and that we were able to break the shackles of traditions that had no basis in Scriptures.

I have to mention the Family Day!  We had a great time fellowshipping under the big 40 x 40 feet tent on the House of Israel grounds.  We had fun sitting near the fire pit for atmosphere; playing beanbag toss and horseshoes; and watching the children play in a smaller tent, make slime, and get their faces painted.  The favorite activity was the 18-foot Monster Truck Bouncy House and Slide!  The children were excited and in a high energy state as they bounced, climbed the rock wall inside the Monster Truck, and then slid down the chute!  Even a few of the adults took part in the merriment!

Another high point of the Family Day was the Chili Contest!  There was much discussion about the flavors and heat of the spices.  Our Sister Saint, originally from Chicago, won the contest with her dynamite recipe.   She has bragging rights until Passover.  A Sister Saint from New Jersey said she was going to bring her secret ingredient from a rural butcher shop near where she lives.  I will definitely want to be present at that Taste Fest and Chili Contest!

Until next time… Blessings to You and Yours,

Sharon
